Taco Megamarch

Hey Raza

come out of your casa

 we gotta demonstrate

 the sleeping giant is awake

they raid us in Chicago

 police state Arizona

 they break up our homes

 consider us alien race

 creatures from outer space!

what about their own tea party

 real aliens protesting

  fake feathers and all

  while our true native millions

  are split by a wall

  they got detention centers

all over the country -- prisons

  as if we committed treason

  21st century concentration camps!

  whose the immigrant, pilgrim?

we're migrants moving in our homes

  we´re having a megamarch fiesta

with apple pie rich and crusty

 and  national tacos for justice!

Freedom Bus Rides

(May 13 –16,  2010,  Phoenix bound)

           Copyright by  Nephtali

 freedom bus rides

across the Texas frontier

still wild after so many years

going out further west

put our truth to the test

Dallas, Phoenix bound,

Midland, El Paso,

over the mountains

past Chuco, Tejasland,

Las Cruces, New Mexico,

Tucson, desert state,

land of immigrant hate…

they got it all wrong

it’s in our color

It’s in our song

brother, sister,

come along

all our corridos

can not be wrong

mean laws in Arizona state

SB 1070, HB 2281

get rid of u and your pulgas

if u look illegal -- guess what?

we’re the only ones that look native

we’re the color of the earth

the color of the land

who’s the native

European woman/man?

our cinnamon color,

lindo color canela

speaks for me and my abuela

u look kinda outta place

got a feeling u’re a different race

why so arrogant and grim

u crashed onto our shores

u Mayflower pilgrim

I had no walls I embraced u free

why do u now haunt me?

freedom bus rides

across the Texas plains

storm dust or rain

we gotta be there

for our Arizona clans

brave heart people of the land

no matter what happens

we’re in it together

pa’ que no nos lleve la pelona

porque Todos Somos Arizona!

American Poem
America! America!
by
Bertin Santibañez

America, America, America you are in our hearts.

We all love America.
We all here because we want a better life.
We all here because we want to be part of America
We all want an opportunity to reach the sky

We are America

We all pay taxes in a daily basis
English, Irish, Asians, Hispanics, Germans
What is the difference in our race
We all want to work and built america strong

We love America

We all are hard working people, not criminals
From cooks to engineers
From construction to teachers
We all are the seeds of beginners

We are America

We all give our hearts to America
We are in the military action and we heard our inthum
In the security police force in the streets of America
Because we love this land of freedom

We love America

We were raise with a strong religious values
We love our family and we love America
We all ask for an opportunity in our venture
To serve legally and be part of this great America

America, America, we all love America.
